Nokia 6102 is a clamshell phone. It is a smart phone with almost all the required functions. With its integrated VGA camera and a button dedicated to it you can take pictures and store them in your phone or can MMS it to your dear ones. It has two displays one is inside which are 65000 colors (TFT) 128 x 160 pixels. The other one is on top of the flip which is 4096 colors (STN) 96 x 65 pixels. You can use its T9 predictive text to send messages through SMS, MMS, AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and Yahoo! Messenger and email (POP3, IMAP4, SMTP).
With its Class 10 GPRS data transmission combined with its WAP 2.0 complaint browser you can log on to the internet. The user interface is easy to use and navigate. It comes with an internal memory of 3.5 Mb but there isn’t any extendable memory supported so you have to do with the one available. It is a very nice looking and a light phone. It also supports EDGE technology which is even higher data transmission than GPRS i.e. if your network provides the facility, the camera is very good and you can take your own picture by closing the phone and camera display comes on the outer screen.
The external color display shows incoming calls and time. The camera can also be used for video recording. The phone has a built in FM radio by which you can listen to your favorite radio show any where any time. It has an infrared port to transfer data to your Personal Computer ant also share with your friend incase their phone has it. It supports J2ME base games. It comes loaded with some but you can always download new ones from a large variety of games available on the net. It has J2ME MIDP 2.0 support for new application, wallpaper, graphic and game downloads.
You can always personalize your phone. It has a built in hands free speaker phone which can be used for conference calling with push-to-talk function either for one-on-one or group talk. It supports 24chord and an Mp3 ring tone which means you can set your favorite song as a ring tone. The key of Nokia 6102 are large and easy to use. The main menu is configurable i.e. you can set it according to your own convenience. The LCD screen is large so you can easily read what it shows and still is very small and fits in you pocket very easily. Nokia 6102 cellphone has lots of nice little features that make it attractive.
